angthong.net is run by Koh Samui Tours (I.T.I. Enterprise Co., Ltd.), a travel agency on Koh Samui licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT 44/00444), referred to below as "we". We do not run the boats ourselves: we sell places on tours to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park that are run by licensed local tour companies.
In short
- Book now, pay later: a booking request on the website is free, nothing is paid at this step.
- To confirm your places we usually take a prepayment of 50% of the tour price. The rest is paid on the day of the tour.
- The tour is run by a licensed tour company. It provides the transfer, boats, equipment, guides and the insurance of participants.
- Only the tour company can cancel a tour because of the weather. In that case you get a new date or a full refund.
- If your plans change, tell us as early as possible. The details are in our cancellation policy.
Who does what
We help you choose a tour, confirm the date, the number of people and the pickup address, take the prepayment, book your places with the tour company and send you the pickup time. Our managers answer your questions before and after the tour.
The tour company runs the tour: it provides the vehicles, boats, equipment and guides, is responsible for safety on the tour and insures the participants. On the day of the tour, decisions about the route, the weather and safety are made by the tour company and the captain.
How to book
- Send a booking request on the tour page or write to us on WhatsApp. No payment is needed at this step.
- Our manager contacts you and confirms the details: the date, the number of people, the name of your hotel or villa and the price.
- We send you a payment link for the prepayment, and your places are booked.
- Before the tour we send you the pickup time; your manager tells you when to expect it.
Please check the date, the number of people and the pickup address in our confirmation and tell us straight away if something is wrong. If you have not received the pickup time when expected, write to us on WhatsApp +66-957-269-990.
Prices and payment
Prices on the website are in Thai baht, per person or per boat, as shown on each tour page, together with what is included. The price confirmed by our manager when you book is the final price of your booking.
The prepayment is usually 50% of the tour price. For some bookings, for example large groups or private boats, full payment in advance may be needed. The manager always tells you the exact amount before you pay. The remaining amount is paid on the day of the tour to the representative of the tour company. If you have paid 100% in advance, you pay nothing on the day.
You can pay by card through a secure payment link or by another method agreed with the manager.
The national park entrance fee (฿300 per adult, ฿150 per child) is included only where the tour page says so. Otherwise it is paid in cash at the park.
Pickup and transfer
Every tour includes pickup from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui and the drive back after the tour. Please be ready at the hotel entrance or in the lobby at the pickup time. Pickup times are approximate and depend on the traffic on Koh Samui.
If your villa is high in the hills or the road is difficult for a car, we may ask you to meet the driver at a nearby point that is easy to reach. Transfers are provided by the tour companies and their transport partners.
On the day of the tour
- Follow the instructions of the guides and the captain. They are responsible for your safety.
- The tour company may change the route or the order of the stops, or replace a stop, because of the weather, the sea or safety. A small change of the program, or a shortened kayaking or snorkeling stop, is not a reason for a refund.
- The tour company may refuse to take, or stop the participation of, anyone who is drunk, behaves dangerously or ignores safety instructions. In that case the tour is not refunded.
- Please respect the rules of the national park and the instructions of the park rangers.
- Bring your passport or a photo of it: the tour company needs the passport number for the insurance.
- Take care of your personal belongings. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
Health and age
Before booking, tell us about any health problem, injury, pregnancy or limited mobility. Speedboat tours are not suitable for pregnant women, and kayaking in the park is allowed from 5 years old. The limits for each tour are listed on its page. For safety reasons, the tour company may refuse participation if these limits are not met.
Weather
Only the tour company decides whether a tour can go ahead in bad weather. It usually tells us on the morning of the tour day.
- If the tour company cancels the tour because of the weather, we move your booking to the nearest date that suits you or, if you cannot go on another day, give you a full refund, including the card payment fee.
- If the tour company runs the tour, light rain or clouds are not a reason for a refund. If you decide not to go, it counts as your own cancellation, and the cancellation policy applies.
Insurance
We do not insure tour participants ourselves, because we do not run the boats. Licensed tour companies in Thailand must insure their participants, and the insurance on your tour is provided by the company that runs it.
If something happens during the tour, tell the guide straight away so that the crew can arrange help and start an insurance claim. Please also write to us, and we will help you communicate with the tour company. We strongly recommend having your own travel insurance that covers medical costs and accidents.
Complaints
If something goes wrong on the day of the tour, tell the guide right away and write to us on WhatsApp. Many problems can be solved on the spot.
If the problem was not solved, send us a complaint by WhatsApp or by email to info@angthong.net within 30 days after the tour. Include your name, the tour date, what happened and photos if you have them. We review every complaint; if we need to check the facts with the tour company it may take longer, and we will keep you informed.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for processing your booking correctly and passing the right details to the tour company. The tour itself is run by the tour company, which is responsible for its services, vehicles, boats, equipment and staff.
We are not responsible for delays or changes caused by events beyond our control, such as the weather, the sea, natural disasters, strikes, outbreaks of disease or decisions of the authorities, including closures of the national park.
The guide pages on this site are published in good faith for general information. We check them regularly, but tour details and conditions in the park can change; your manager confirms the current details when you book.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. We may update them; the version published on the website on the day of your booking applies to your booking.
